We will be holding our first "all association" board meeting of the season on September 15, 2010. A meeting agenda will be posted on the website prior to the meeting.

Here are the details:
Time: 7:30 PM
Location: Littleton Police Department, 500 Great Road, Littleton (just west of Exit 31 off of 495 on 119/Great Road)

Please attend and be an active part of your child's hockey experience.

	Equipment Exchange

Hi Nashoba Members,

Is your garage or basement full of hockey equipment that your kids have outgrown? You'd like to get rid of it, but selling it seems like a hassle and throwing it out is just a waste? NYHA is organizing an Equipment Exchange program. Starting out in hockey can be a daunting financial undertaking and we'd like to offer inexpensive used equipment to the families joining us in the Initiation Programs. To do that we'd like you to donate your used equipment. It will get the equipment out of your house and onto the bodies of the new kids who are just starting out.

If you have equipment you'd be willing to part with, please email Amy Lowe - - with a list of items and their sizes. We are particularly interested in mite-sized skates and helmets since they are in the highest demand, but we do have newcomers of all ages and sizes.

Once we know how much equipment is out there, we will be able to organize a drop-off system and a time and location. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Lowe at 978-692-7321.


	Initiation Programs - Request for Help

My name is Amy Lowe and I am the Director of Initiation Programs for Nashoba Youth Hockey Association. While I no longer have children at the beginner levels of hockey, I continue to teach our Learn to Skate, Learn to Play Hockey and In-House Mites because these initiation programs are the cornerstone for the rest of the association. Our strength and continuing development as a program starts at the youngest levels and I have come to realize that it is not a job that can be done by one person.

To that end, I would like to put together a committee to look at ways of marketing and improving our beginner programs, including but not limited to organizing an equipment recycling program to provide inexpensive equipment for those starting out in the sport, and the inclusion of USA Hockey's ADM program and cross-ice league within our IHM program. I am looking for volunteers who would like to help me keep NYHA, and its players, strong, healthy and growing.

I would like volunteers from all levels of the association, not just those parents with children in the initiation programs. If you are interested, or if you have any questions, please contact me.
