ashoba Youth Hockey and the KDK foundation are excited to present the 2018 Summer Learn to Skate AND Learn to Play Hockey program for boys and girls!
Learn to skate: This program is designed for boys and girls who are looking to either learn to skate or to improve their skating skills. No previous skating experience is required.
Learn to play hockey: This program is designed for boys and girls who are looking to learn the game of hockey and develop their hockey skills. Prior skating skills are required. The program is designed for skaters who have not previously been and are not currently on a hockey team.
Dates: June 30th, July 7th, July 14th, July 21st, July 28th, Aug 4th
Location: Skate 3 White Rink. 355 Middlesex Road. Tyngsboro, MA
Participants can join one, multiple or all of the sessions.
Important: Skaters will also need to register with USA Hockey (www.usahockey.com) and provide Nashoba Youth Hockey with the assigned USA hockey registration number.
Learn to Skate: All skaters need skates, a helmet and protective gloves. A hockey helmet is preferred but a bicycle helmet is acceptable. While not required, elbow pads and knee pads of any kind (i.e. do not need to be hockey) are recommended. If needed, skaters may bring a frame, walker or crate.
Learn to Play: All skaters need the following:
- Hockey helmet with a face mask
- Hockey stick
- Protective gloves
- Knee pads
- Elbow pads
- Shoulder pads
- Hockey socks
- Hockey pants
- Neck guard (recommended)
- Protective cup (boys).
